Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
